I love that Winter seems to be finally over and warmer Spring weather is upon us, but that means one thing that I do hate; POTHOLES!! I know I’m not the only one, as we all seem to hit these as we’re driving down both residential and main streets. These are safety hazards, and our city crews are out, but we need your help to get them filled quickly.
As you see or hit these potholes, try to remember the address or intersections where they are and report them. It’s as easy as dialing 311 on your phone and Akron’s 311 operators will walk you through making the request. It will be forwarded to highway maintenance and a work order will be created to get the job done. You can use 311 for any city service and you best of all, you can track your request with an ID number. One caveat; as it may say the request is completed, but that means the department is aware and the work order is created, not completed. Give them a little time, with the winter we’ve had, we have a lot of work to do!
