As I’ve written about this before, as your Ward 8 Councilman, I’m a member of the Cuyahoga Valley Gateway Partnership steering committee that is looking to chart a new direction for the Merriman Valley. We’re looking to engage businesses and residents to implement the Merriman Valley Master Plan that was developed a few years back. Akron, along with the Cuyahoga Falls want to continue to drive the future of the Valley, but we need all interested parties involved to discuss the framework for the partnership.
If you’re even remotely interested in the future of the Merriman Valley, I urge you to attend a public meeting on Wednesday, April 30th, at 6:00pm at Weatehrvane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane in Akron. Whether you live in Parkway Estates, Merriman Valley or neighboring areas, if you own or work in a valley business; we want to hear from you. We’re looking to grow the Merriman Valley into a destination spot for all of Northeast Ohio, to enjoy. We’ve got Sand Run park, the Towpath Trial, the Cuyahoga River, great restaurants, live music, theater and nightlife, all within a few minutes drive from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park! We need your support and voice.
I hope to see you on Wednesday, April 30th at Weathervane Theater!
