Have your received a letter like this from Enbridge (formerly Dominion Energy) about Akron’s natural gas aggregation program? I did, and to be honest it seemed confusing that my rate would go up. No need to worry if you’re currently enrolled in the city’s program, you will simply roll over onto the the new plan with IGS energy at a fixed rate of $3.81/mcf.
If you choose to stay on Akron’s plan , there’s no need to panic or take any action at all. The $3.81 rate is guaranteed through October 2025. This plan has no penalty to opt out at any time, so if you find a better rate during the next year, you’re free to switch.
